The Hineni Circle Project LLC can come to your community, direct your ritual, write for your occasion, and teach you how to build your own circle. We keep costs as low as possible. We want this work in the world.
The Hineni Circle Project can come to your synagogue, church, school, community center, or organization. We bring the circle to you — readings, workshops, ritual performances, and conversations. We work with your community to create something that belongs to you.
We keep costs as low as possible. We want this work used. Contact us to discuss what is possible.
Laurie S. Sherman is available to direct ritual events — High Holiday services, lifecycle ceremonies, community gatherings, and other occasions that call for the full weight of theatrical and ritual skill. She brings both the theater director's eye and the ritual practitioner's understanding.
Available for synagogues, havurot, and community organizations. Contact us for availability and rates.
Custom ritual pieces, plays, and liturgical texts are written for specific communities, occasions, and needs. A ritual for your congregation's anniversary. A play for your school's community. A prayer for a moment that has no existing words.
Every community has stories that have not yet been told in the right form. We can help find that form.
We offer workshops in the Hineni Circle method — for theater educators, clergy, community leaders, and anyone who wants to learn how to facilitate ritual theater in their own community. The circle is a skill. It can be taught.
Half-day, full-day, and multi-session formats available. Contact us to discuss your needs.
We can host or facilitate a reading of any of the plays in your community — a salon evening, a Shabbat gathering, a school event. Readings are low-cost, high-impact, and often the beginning of something larger.
Readings can be arranged with minimal lead time. Contact us to discuss.
The Hineni Circle Project LLC maintains a small seed fund for groups and communities that want to start bringing ritual theater to their own people but need help with initial costs. We believe this work should not be limited by resources.
If you are a synagogue, school, community center, or organization that wants to host a reading, start a circle, or bring this work to your community but cannot cover the full cost, contact us. We will do everything we can to make it possible.
The seed fund is supported by donations to the Hineni Circle Project. If you want to support this work, consider giving specifically to the seed fund — your gift will go directly to bringing ritual theater to communities that could not otherwise afford it.
